Privacy policy

Chacon Steel Detailing LLC is a family-run steel detailing office in Aubrey, Texas. Questions about this policy or your information: info@chacondetailing.com.

When you send the quote request form, we receive what you type in it (your name, company, email, phone and project details) as an email to our office, and we use it only to answer you and prepare your quote. We don't sell it, share it for marketing or add you to a mailing list.

If you sign up for steel takeoffs, we keep your name, company, email address and phone number, the plan you picked and how many takeoffs you have used. Your password is stored only as a one-way scrambled code; nobody at our office can read it.

Your drawings: the drawings and files you upload, and the takeoff packages and quotes we send back, are kept in your account so you can download them again. Only our office opens them, and we use them only to prepare your takeoff and our detailing quote. We never share them with other customers or anyone else.

Payments:plans are paid through Stripe. Your card number goes straight to Stripe; we never see or store it. We receive your plan, whether payments went through, the card brand and last four digits, and your billing details. Stripe's use of your information is covered by the Stripe privacy policy.

Emails:we email you about your account, such as password reset links, when a takeoff is ready, and notices about your plan; Stripe emails your receipts. We don't send marketing emails.

When you sign in to your takeoff account we set two cookies: one keeps you signed in (it holds a random code, and we store only a scrambled version of it), and one lets the menu show "My takeoffs" instead of "Sign in". Signing out removes both.

The sign-up form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots; it looks at signals from your browser for that check only. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

We don't sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the companies that run the site for us: Cloudflare (hosting, file storage and the bot check, which also processes basic connection information like your IP address to deliver and protect the site), Stripe (payments) and our email delivery service. We also share it when you ask us to, or when the law requires it.

We keep your account, drawings and packages while your account is open. If you close your account or ask us to delete your information, we delete it within 30 days, except records we must keep for taxes and accounting, such as invoices. Quote request emails stay in our office mail with the rest of the job's correspondence.

You can ask us for a copy of the information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: email info@chacondetailing.com. We answer within 30 days. This site is for businesses and isn't meant for children.

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and email takeoff customers about anything important. The terms for takeoff plans are on the terms page.
