Drawings in, quote out
You send the contract set as PDF, DWG or a link, with your bid date. We reply within one business day with the price, the scope we counted, the exclusions and a schedule. Nothing about that needs a visit.
Questions in writing, on the drawings
When the drawings leave something open, we send a written question (an RFI) to you or the GC, and we cloud the open item on the approval drawings where it applies. Everyone sees the same question in the same place, wherever they are.
Our office runs on Central time and works in English and Spanish, by phone and email.
Approvals and release
Approval drawings go out as PDF sets for the GC and the engineer of record. When the comments come back, we pick them up and release clean shop and erection drawings, with material lists, the 3D model as IFC and NC / DSTV files on request.
When someone has to be on site
Renovations and plant work need field dimensions. In Texas we visit, measure and scan ourselves. For a job in another state, we tell your field crew or a local surveyor exactly what to measure, or work from a scan of the area, so the new steel fits what is built.
Standards and seals
Detailing follows the contract documents and AISC practice, which are the same in every state. When a job needs sealed drawings, tell us at the quote: in Texas they are sealed by a Texas-licensed professional engineer, and for other states we confirm before the work starts how the seal will be handled.
Jobs we have detailed outside Texas
Most of our work is in Texas, and we have also detailed jobs in Mississippi (a fulfillment center) and Arkansas (an elevator support frame and cement plant work). See them on the projects map.
